A Healthier Drive in Dubai: Interior Detailing & AC Cleansing by RMA PPF

When you slide into a 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto, the engine note isn’t the first thing that grabs you. It’s the little things: the unique feel of the Alcantara steering wheel, the way light plays across the deep gloss of the carbon fiber tub. These materials aren’t just for show; they’re high-performance, incredibly expensive, and surprisingly delicate.

This is where elite car care has changed. You can’t just use the old-school stuff anymore. A generic cleaner can permanently wreck an Alcantara seat. The wrong wash can cover that beautiful carbon fiber in swirl marks, which the Dubai sun will put on full display. As a Gtechniq Accredited Detailer, we live and breathe the science of caring for these surfaces. Here’s our guide to doing it right.

The Art of Alcantara: Softer Than Suede, Tougher to Clean

Let’s get one thing straight: Alcantara is not leather. It’s a high-tech synthetic microsuede that’s loved for its amazing grip and soft touch. But here’s the catch: unlike leather, it’s a magnet for oils and dirt. It will soak up oils from your hands, grime from your clothes, and any coffee that doesn’t quite make it to your mouth. This is what leads to those dark, matted patches that are a total nightmare to clean.

We’ve seen the disaster scenario more times than we can count. Someone tries to clean a small spill with a generic interior spray. The harsh chemicals hit the delicate fibers, and just like that, you’ve got a stiff, crusty, and permanently discolored patch. The soft, plush feel is gone forever.

A professional approach to Alcantara is about being gentle but thorough. We use a pH-neutral cleaner made just for microsuede, working it in with a soft-bristle brush to lift the dirt without hurting the fibers. But cleaning is only half the battle. The real secret is protection. After it’s clean, we apply Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric AB. This is a specialized coating that makes the surface hydrophobic. In plain English, future spills will just bead up and sit on top of the fabric instead of soaking in. This gives you plenty of time to just blot the spill away before it has a chance to become a permanent stain.

Mastering Carbon Fiber: Gloss, Matte, and How to Protect Both

Carbon fiber is the heart and soul of a modern supercar’s design, but it comes in two very different flavors that need their own special care.

First up, Gloss Carbon Fiber. That deep, 3D look on a spoiler or roof is absolutely stunning, but the clear coat that gives it that shine is just as sensitive as your car’s paint. A bad wash will cover it in fine scratches and swirl marks, which completely kills the look of that expensive weave under the sun. Our solution is a two-step process. We start with a multi-stage machine polish to get rid of every single imperfection and bring back that perfect, crystal-clear finish. Then, we lock it in with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. This is a pro-only coating with a true 10h hardness, creating a tough, scratch-resistant shield that also provides 99% UV protection to stop the resin from yellowing over time.

Matte and Satin Carbon Fiber is a different animal entirely. You often see it in the interior trim of a modern McLaren or Porsche. You can’t polish it—doing so would ruin the unique finish instantly. Its biggest enemy is staining from skin oils and fingerprints, which leave shiny patches that are impossible to just wipe away. For these surfaces, protection is the only real answer. We recommend either a specialized matte PPF coating for physical protection or a ceramic coating made specifically for matte surfaces. This creates an invisible, non-reflective barrier that resists stains and makes the surface a breeze to clean.

The Big Picture: Why You Need a Specialist

A supercar is a finely tuned machine, and its care should be too. A specialist detailing service is vital because we understand the unique chemistry of these modern materials. A standard car wash might use the same harsh cleaner on everything, which can cause permanent damage to your Alcantara or carbon fiber.

Our status as a Gtechniq Accredited Detailer is your guarantee that we know exactly what we’re doing. This isn’t just a certificate; it’s a mark of trust from a world leader in surface science. It means our team is professionally trained and has access to exclusive products like Crystal Serum Ultra—coatings that aren’t sold to the public and require a deep understanding to be applied correctly. This ensures every surface on your car gets the precise care it needs.

Preserving Your Automotive Art

The interior of your supercar is a work of art, built from materials chosen for their looks and performance. Alcantara and carbon fiber are high-value parts that are at direct risk from generic products. The only way to make sure they last is through expert care—using the right cleaners for Alcantara and protecting it with hydrophobic coatings, while using professional polishing and true ceramic composites for carbon fiber.

Professional detailing is an essential part of protecting the financial value and the pure, hands-on experience of your supercar. To create a care plan tailored for your vehicle’s unique and delicate surfaces, have a chat with the Gtechniq Accredited experts at RMA PPF.
